Cristalino is a modern approach to aged tequila. This variant is a reposado or añejo tequila that has been distilled and filtered after initial aging. Most cristalino tequilas are clear, but reposados and añejos retain a straw-like color as Casa Don Ramón’s filtration method does not strip the tequila of the color and properties it acquired during aging. This reflects the authenticity of añejo or reposado tequila.
